Our God is a God of Cleanliness

 Revelation 21:27

And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

3 Nephi 27:19

And no unclean thing can enter into his kingdom; therefore nothing entereth into his rest save it be those who have washed their garments in my blood, because of their faith, and the repentance of all their sins, and their faithfulness unto the end.

Romans 14:14

I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

Alma 5:14

And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye spiritually been born of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty change in your hearts?

Alma 11:37

And I say unto you again that he cannot save them in their sins; for I cannot deny his word, and he hath said that no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of heaven; therefore, how can ye be saved, except ye inherit the kingdom of heaven? Therefore, ye cannot be saved in your sins.

D&C 88:20-22

That bodies who are of the celestial kingdom may possess it forever and ever; for, for this intent was it made and created, and for this intent are they sanctified.

And they who are not sanctified through the law which I have given unto you, even the law of Christ, must inherit another kingdom, even that of a terrestrial kingdom, or that of a telestial kingdom.

For he who is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial glory.

D&C 88:74-75

And I give unto you, who are the first laborers in this last kingdom, a commandment that you assemble yourselves together, and organize yourselves, and prepare yourselves, and sanctify yourselves; yea, purify your hearts, and cleanse your hands and your feet before me, that I may make you clean;

That I may testify unto your Father, and your God, and my God, that you are clean from the blood of this wicked generation; that I may fulfil this promise, this great and last promise, which I have made unto you, when I will.

D&C 110:5

Behold, your sins are forgiven you; you are clean before me; therefore, lift up your heads and rejoice.

D&C 133:5

Go ye out from Babylon. Be ye clean that bear the vessels of the Lord.

There are many different ways to be clean. physically, mentally, and spiritually. Being phyically clean means to take care of ourselves and our personal belongings like our home or our car or even just our room. Being clean involves discipline, it means doing those things that you may not want to to. When we are clean, we show God that we are willing to serve Him. We are willing to do something for someone else. We can also think about phyiscal cleanliness when we think about what we put into our bodies. We need to avoid addictive substances, like alcohol and tobacco. It can also involve other addictions, like sugar and soda. What we put into our bodies is something we should think about often.  We can also include being mentally and spiritually clean. That would include those things we let into our bodies through our eyes, ears and mouth that go into our brain. The things we say, the things we listen to, the things we watch. We need to watch our thoughts and actions. We can cleanse our mind and our heart from the things that are in conflict with Christ. We can repent. We can pray to know the things we need to be working on and removing the bad habits and replacing them with good ones. Through repentance we can become sanctified because of the Atonement of Christ. He is the WAY, the only WAY.  We would need to be morally pure, this includes sexual behaviors and porn addiction.  We should be spending our time focusing on our righteous desires and behaviors so that we can have the Holy Ghost as our constant companion to guide us always.

This life is the test, this life is the probationary time. The time when we are proving to God who we are and want to be. When we die, we will be reunited with Him and the things we have done here will affect where we go there. I want to be in the Celestial Kingdom with my loved ones. I have a lot of work to do here.
